Chuck's journey in special education didn't begin in a boardroom or behind a policy manual. It began in a classroom, face-to-face with students with emotional disturbances — young people who were often misunderstood, overlooked, and underestimated. For five years, Chuck showed up for those students every single day, and in doing so, he learned something that no graduate course can fully teach: every child, no matter their diagnosis or disability, is worthy of a great education and a champion who believes in them. That conviction has never left him. Chuck brings more than 3 decades of experience in special education as a teacher, principal, central office leader, and education consultant. He has led ARD processes, supported special education classrooms, trained teachers, and helped improve inclusive practices across campuses.Today, Chuck walks alongside parents in ARD meetings, helping them understand their rights, make sense of evaluation data, and advocate with confidence. He knows what strong special education support should look like because he has taught it, led it, and helped build it.
If you are a parent who feels unheard, overwhelmed, or unsure of what your child is entitled to — Chuck Boyd is ready to stand with you.
